How a Trusting Partnership with Rob and Liam at Dear Barber Led to Stunning Overhead Shots of Their Hair Products, Each with a Distinct Yet Cohesive Style
We have been working with the male grooming company Dear Barber for a few years now. Over that time we have got to know each other really well and I now consider Rob and Liam as friends.
The process usually goes something like this. The products get dropped into the studio here in Burslem, Stoke on Trent. They leave us with a brief, but trust us to put our own ‘spin’ on things like backgrounds and props etc.
The images here show four of the hair products. The brief was to photograph them as overhead shots and to use a different background for each. Both Dear Barber and ourselves loved what results we got! My idea was to make them look different from each other but also related. I tried to do this by using similar lighting with warmer tones, yet each images had a different backdrop and props.
Work like this can be charged on a time basis or per images, whichever the client is most comfortable with. With over 40 years experience in commercial photography, if it is to be charged on a time basis our quotes are very acurate.
